First Announcement of The 7th Digital Belt and Road Conference (DBAR2023)
The “Digital Belt and Road Program” (DBAR) was launched in May 2016 with the aim to promote the application of digital technology, particularly focus on Big Earth Data, towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) along the Belt and Road region. DBAR promotes and enables sharing of data, technology and knowledge, to support decision-making process in service of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and the implementation of Global Development Initiative.
The DBAR Conference is its annual academic conference for scientists, engineers, managers, and experts from around the world for a multi-stakeholder engagement to discuss on improving scientific partnerships and networking towards collaborative and collective efforts for global and regional sustainable development, exchange and share the knowledge about the last development on SDGs by digital technology.
The year of 2023 marks the 10th year for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and the mid-point of the implementation of 2030 Agenda. To this end, the DBAR Conference for 2023, which is the 7th DBAR Conference, will vitalize the new opportunities, interpret the challenges, and explore DBAR’s development for the future.
The theme of the 7th Digital Belt and Road Conference (DBAR2023) is Digital Technology Facilitates Sustainable Development, which will be held from 4-6 Sept., 2023 in Beijing.
DBAR 2023 will focus on scientific and technological innovation to promote Belt and Road regional cooperation towards data sharing, sustainable development goals, conducting in-depth discussions on topics such as carbon neutrality, energy conservation and emission reduction, urban living and environment, water resources security, and reach a frontier cooperation internationally to jointly access the challenges and resolutions related to the sustainable development of the Belt and Road region.
We sincerely hope all of colleagues and friends within DBAR community would take DBAR 2023 on the schedule. It would also be very appreciated and welcomed if you could give valuable suggestions on the session topics and side events.
